12. Privacy, data & fair use
This is a plain-language summary. The binding documents are the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service linked in the app footer — read those for the full detail, and rely on them if anything here differs.
What's stored, and what isn't
Stored: your analysis reports and the metadata that goes with them (video titles, scores, transcripts, and the results you see in the app). Your analysis history is kept for 30 days.
Not stored on Contentine's servers: your uploaded video files. When you upload, the file goes directly from your browser to Google for analysis and never touches Contentine's servers. After analysis, each file is auto-deleted from Google within 48 hours. It's kept briefly so you can run extra lenses or Find frames without re-uploading — and you can delete it immediately from the report with the Delete from Google now control.
Your API keys
If you use My Keys mode, your keys stay in your browser and are never stored on Contentine's servers. They're used to talk to Google directly from your browser.
Fair use — analyze only what you have the right to
- YouTube URLs: Contentine uses publicly available YouTube data through the official YouTube Data API. It does not access private or members-only videos.
- Uploads: only analyze videos you own or have the rights to analyze. You confirm this with the rights checkbox on every upload.
- Contentine is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
How to delete your data
- An uploaded file on Google: open the report and choose Delete from Google now (files are also auto-deleted within 48 hours regardless).
- Reports and account data: contact support@analyze.contentine.ai to request deletion, and see the Privacy Policy for your rights and the process.
