6. History & re-analysis
Finding past reports
Everything you analyze is saved. Use the left sidebar:
- History lists your recent analyses. Use the filter box at the top to find one by name.
- Analyzed Channels and Analyzed Playlists group your channel and playlist runs.
Your analysis history is stored for 30 days. Select any item to reopen its full report.
When to re-analyze
Open a report and choose Re-analyze (also available on each video card in a collection). Re-analysis makes sense when:
- You want to add premium insights you didn't include the first time (for example, add SEO or Audio Health).
- The video has changed — a new title, thumbnail, or a re-upload — and you want a fresh read.
- An earlier run had stale or incomplete data and you want to re-scan from scratch.
On the Configure screen you'll see a Re-scan from scratch option. Turning it on reads the video again instead of reusing saved results — slower and it uses more credits, but it fixes stale or wrong data from an earlier scan.
Why re-analysis costs the same as a fresh analysis
Re-analyzing a video costs the same as analyzing it the first time. That's because each pass re-processes the entire video — the AI watches it again from the start. There's no cheaper "update" that reuses the previous read when you re-scan; a new report means new work. The Configure screen always shows the estimate before you commit, so you'll know the cost first.
Re-analyzing an uploaded video
For uploads, the file is kept on Google only briefly (see Chapter 3). If the temporary copy has expired when you try to re-scan or run a new lens, the app will ask you to Upload again — that re-processes the file, after which the deeper tools work as normal.
