18. Going deeper: Lenses, Find frames & Find moments

Three tools take a finished analysis further. All run from an open report.

Lenses

A lens re-examines a video through a specialized point of view — for example, a software-demo lens or a film/cinematography lens — instead of the general report. Use a lens when the standard report is too general for what you're studying.

How to run one:

  1. Open a report. In the lenses area, pick a suggested lens (or browse all).
  2. Clicking a lens opens the Configure step so you can confirm the cost first. It then runs as a new lens on that video, billed like a re-analysis (each pass re-processes the video — see Chapter 12).
  3. Completed lenses appear in a Lenses section below the main analysis. Each lens — and each depth you run it at — is its own card, so a Standard and a Deep run of the same lens both show separately.

Once you've run more than one lens, Compare lenses lays them side by side so you can see how different viewpoints read the same video, and Download PDF saves that comparison as one document.

Find frames

Find frames pulls out the exact still frames (images) where something happens — every screen of an app being demoed, each time a product appears, or every scene change.

How to use it:

  1. Open a report and choose Find frames.
  2. Describe what you're looking for — for example, "every distinct screen of the app being demoed."
  3. The AI proposes the matching points. For an uploaded video, Contentine then extracts the actual frames in your browser into a gallery you can download individually, export as a set (ZIP), or lay out as a contact sheet. For a YouTube-URL video, it gives you the timestamps and links to those points rather than extracting the images.

Find moments

Find moments is the companion to Find frames: instead of single images it finds time ranges — every clip where something is said or shown — and lets you download each one for uploaded videos. It has its own chapter now: Moment Finder.
